Marcelino Oreja receives the Carlos V Award in Yuste (Cáceres)
Coinciding with Europe Day, King Felipe VI was the person in charge of delivering the award to Oreja, in recognition of his contribution to the European project, and in addition, announced that the awarding institution will officially change its name to Academia Europea e Iberoamericana de Yuste (The Iberoamerican and European Academy of Yuste).

Marcelino Oreja received today, from the of hands of King Felipe VI, the Carlos V Award, which was granted by the Academia Europea de Yuste (European Academy of Yuste) for his work in favour of Spain's European integration, since he was the minister who requested Spain's integration into the European Communities in 1997 and signed Spain's membership into the Council of Europe.
In addition, King Felipe has officially changed the institution's name to Academia Europea e Iberoamericana de Yuste (The Iberoamerican and European Academy of Yuste).
