Unemployment goes down in April by 33,984 people in Andalusia

The number of unemployed people registered in unemployment offices in Andalusia has gone down in April by 33,984 people, which means a decrease of 3.83% with respect to the previous month, according to the data provided this Thursday by the Ministry of Employment and Social Security, which estimates 852,182 unemployed people in Andalusia.

According to the data from April, unemployment in Andalusia has gone down in the last twelve months by 114,246 people.

By sector, registered unemployment in the Autonomous Community has gone down in April, especially in the service industry, with 24,289 fewer unemployed people; and in Agriculture, with 4,222 fewer unemployed people, followed by those without previous employment, with 2,411 fewer unemployed people; and in Construction, with 1,662 fewer; and in Industry, with 1,400 fewer unemployed people.

By sex, of the 852,182 unemployed people registered last month in Andalusia, the majority were women, with 482,285 unemployed women, whereas 369,897 were men.

Registered unemployment in employment offices has gone down in April in all of the Andalusian provinces with respect to the previous month¿mainly in Seville, with 8,144 fewer unemployed people (-3,77%), and Málaga, with 7,452 fewer unemployed people.

Otherwise, the average membership enrolled in Social Security increased in Andalusia by 46,794 employed people (1.60%) in April with respect to the average from the previous month, so the average membership amounted to 2,970,545 employed people in the Autonomous Community.
