The El Confital beach continues to be closed to swimmers
The El Confital zone, in the Gran Canarian capital, will continue to be closed to swimmers until Monday, after a new water sample analysis. The Enterococcus bacteria was detected on Wednesday, and the origin of the outbreak still isn¿t known.

The Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Town Council will keep the El Confital beach closed until next Monday, after the Government of the Canary Islands confirmed the results of the water sample analysis from the area showing elevated levels of the Enterococcus bacteria that went beyond the established limits.
