The Extremaduran medical staff are going on 5-minute strikes at the doors of health care centres in Merida, Caceres and Badajoz because of the overcrowding of consultations and excess red tape that is disrupting, they say, their daily work.

The Primary Care Medical Council of Extremadura are going on five-minute protests in three Primary Care centres in Merida, Caceres and Badajoz to condemn the "deteriorating" quality of service due to the increased workload caused by the lack of sufficient staff coverage for workers on leave, and they're demanding improvements from the Board.

They attend up to 60 patients per day, when the ideal number would be 30 at 10 minutes each, which increases the amount of red tape.
