Fernández Vara dismisses the 2017 government bill as "very negative" for Extremadura
The president of the Board of Extremadura talks about "deceit" due to the drop in investment in the region, reflected in the General State Budget bill for this year, which amounts to 303 million euros, which is 16.6% less than in 2016.
The president of the Board of Extremadura, Guillermo Fernández Vara, considers the budget posed by the Treasury minister in the Congress of Deputies to reflect the resignation of Mariano Rajoy's Government to forego correcting territorial inequalities, not giving to the region of Extremadura, he adds, investments that will help it to come out of the financial crisis. Fernández Vara dismisses the 2017 government bill as "very negative" for Extremadura.
He stresses that the greater part of the 303 million euros budgeted for the region is for the railway and asserts that there are other problems to resolve. He also criticises the fact that the Central Executive violates, he says, the commitment signed in 2015 to transfer 120 million euros to Extremadura dedicated to the historical debt.
