The commission on training courses finishes without assigning political liability

The vote on the training courses decision goes down as one the most surprising in recent history. The "abstention protest" by Podemos allowed the commission to be shelved,  without any being politician held accountable, including the ex presidents Chaves and Griñán, who were both singled out in the draft document. Podemos justified its abstention saying the decision was a sham because it left out Susana Díaz. PP, who seconded this opinion, nevertheless voted in favour as a lesser of two evils. Ciudadanos also voted in favour and PSOE, the only party satisfied with the result, voted against it while IU did not vote due to confusion from its representatives.

Without political liability. Thus finished a very chaotic vote in which PSOE managed to impose its judgement following confusion from Izquierda Unida (United Left), who did not vote, and the decision from Podemos to abstain, because they consider the final decision to be a mockery as it doesn¿t extend liability to the president Susana Díaz.

PP, who also wanted president Díaz to be held responsible, voted in favour as a lesser of two evils, because at least it included Chaves and Griñán. Ciudadanos, who presided over the commission, also voted in favour.

In the end only PSOE was satisfied with the final result, saying that the vote is consistent with the judicial files of the case.

As already happened in the ERE case, a year and half of an investigative commission ends without finding any responsible politicians. The parliament puts the case involving the 3 billion euros destined for training down to an anomaly.
