This Friday, the council of ministers has approved the draft bill for the 2017 budgets. According to the Treasury minister, emphasis has been placed on social expenses and, among other rises, there will be a 5.500 million increase for the autonomous communities.

There will also be a wage rise of 1% for civil servants and a public employment offer that, with the decree law also passed today, brings the public examination period forward for this year in the areas of education and security forces. The autonomous communities must now reserve their places.

The accounts, which will enter into the congress next Tuesday to initiate their parliamentary procedure, will also contemplate a reduction in cultural VAT from 21% to 10% for live shows, except in the cinema.
