Extremadura presents a draft of its new health map

The Health adviser, José María Vergeles, has presented the new regional health map in the Assembly of Extremadura, fruit of the contributions from city councils, citizens and health areas, he says, and carried out not with political criteria but with technical criteria. Among the latest ideas, Valverde de Leganés will have its own health area and Trujillo will combine its two current areas.

At the moment, the new health map that Vergeles discussed in the Extremaduran Parliament is a draft that proposes new health areas in Valverde de Leganés, which would add Almendral y Torre de Miguel Sesmero, and in Trujillo, which would merge two current health areas, a rural one and an urban one.

In addition, the new health distribution places Gargáligas and Los Guadalperales in the Orellana la Vieja area, includes modifications in Badajoz and clarifies boundaries in Mérida and Cáceres and the allocation of doctors.
