Asier Antona is president with 98% of the votes
The fourteenth regional congress of the Partido Popular has brought an end to the crisis that opened some months ago in this political process, with the near unanimous choice of Asier Antona as the new president.

The president of the PP of Canary Islands, Asier Antona, has been ratified in the XIV Regional Congress of his party to continue in the position, to which he ascended after the resignation of José Manuel Soria in April of last year. Antona obtained 98.6 per cent of the votes, being the only candidate up for the position, after a hectic pre-campaign.
