A turning point for volleyball in Extremadura with the return of Electrocash Cáceres to Superleague Two, after three seasons in the highest category of this sport in Spain. In their first Superleague campaign, they finished in seventh place and was ninth last year, arriving to dispute the Copa del Rey semifinals, where they were surpassed by Teruel.
