90% of students from Extremadura support the strike, according to organisers
The Department of Education of Extremadura has yet to provide data on the level of support for the education strike that took place throughout Spain on 9 March, which calls for the repeal of the Lomce (Organic Law for the Improvement of Educational Quality) and the reversal of cutbacks in Education. Among teachers, 25% support the strike.

Secondary schools and Professional Training institutions in Extremadura had practically empty classrooms this morning, except for students in the first and second years of ESO (Obligatory Secondary Education) and in the second year of Baccalaureate, who will soon sit their exams.
The unions PIDE and ANPE do not support this day of strike, meaning support from teachers and staff has been scarce, while some complain about a lack of information.
