Palmeras La Orotava
The La Orotava town hall plaza is left without its 100-year-old palm trees. They have chopped down six of the seven palm trees planted in 1905. Classified and protected trees, the attacks of insects and fungi did enough damage to the trunks of the trees that they were at risk of fracturing. Experts recommended cutting them down immediately to avoid any risk of fracturing. They will be replaced by new ones.
