1.982 fewer unemployed in February in Extremadura, up to 122.809
The unemployment rate has gone down 1.59% between January and February in the region of Extremadura, a 7.65% interannual rate, with 10.166 fewer unemployed people than in the same month in 2016, above all in the service industry, which had 1.423 fewer unemployed.

Extremadura registered 1.982 fewer unemployed people at the close of February, which means a drop of almost 1.6%, leaving a total of 122.809 unemployed people in the region. In terms of the interannual rate, that means 10.166 fewer unemployed, or 7.65%.
By sectors, the biggest drop is in service, with 1.423 fewer unemployed people, followed by Agriculture (-298), Construction (-129), Industry (-114) and those without previous employment (-18).
In February, 38.268 contracts were signed in Extremadura, of which 1.901 were indefinite .
