Around fifty representatives from the Worker's Commissions and the General Worker's Union have met today in front of the Government of Extremadura to call for an end to austerity policies, as well as social and labour cutbacks. Both trade unions are protesting against job insecurity and, backed with a study by the Workers¿ Commissions, claim that Extremaduran salaries have fallen a thousand euros between 2008 and 2015.
They believe that there are no more excuses, and that now that the economy has started to recovery, salaries should be increasing and profits should be being shared. They have called for another protest on Wednesday 22 February in front of the Extremaduran trade headquarters.
