The cycling team, Extremadura Ecopilas GR-100, reports to Plasencia
The team opens the international season after dominating in the Val Serena de las Vegas Altas del Guadiana and they will vie for the mountain biking nationals, as well as the European and World competitions.

Alejandro Díaz de la Peña y Pedro Romero, from Extremadura, are teamed with Susana Alonso, from Galicia, and Rocío Martín, from Granada, in Extremadura Ecopilas, all of whom reported to Plasencia with the assistance of cyclist Alberto Trujillo. Trujillo, who trains daily with Romero, has been invited along and presented as a new member of the team: a surprise which brought out tears of happiness.
