Pablo Ferrández debuts with the Orchestra of Extremadura
The young cello player from Madrid will be the featured soloist at two of this season's concerts performed by the Symphony of Extremadura on 9 February, in Badajoz, and the 10 February, in Cáceres
At only 25 years of age, Pablo Ferrández is already considered one of the most relevant cello players on the international circuit, with a shining career featuring collaborations with famous artists and prestigious orchestras.
With the Symphony of Extremadura, he will play 'Concert for Violoncello by Schumann' and works of from Brahms and Zemlinsky. A programme that he will take on with a Stradivarius, in two sessions: Thursday, 9 February in the Palacio de Congresos in Badajoz, and Friday, 10 February in the Gran Teatro in Cáceres.
Pablo Ferrández is the first Spaniard to receive an award at the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition In 2016, he received the award for Best Young Artist at the international ICMA awards, the Grammy's of classical music.
