Tariq Kirksay is very happy to return to the ACB, to sign with a club like CB Canarias, and to be reunited with Txus Vidorreta. The small forward, who was born in the Bronx but has a French passport, says he is ready to help out with anything the trainer asks for. The new player for the gold-and-blacks, who has been off the court for a month since he left his last team, Angola's Primeiro de Agosto, thinks he will fit in quickly, because he is familiar with the competition and the playing systems of the coach.

Iberostar Tenerife is still second in the Endesa League, and this month has won seven matches, with only one defeat. Its victory against Real Betis Energía Plus, its fifth win in a row, brings the club level with its best recent position in the ACB.

Meanwhile, Aaron Doornekamp was the MVP of the nineteenth week of the Endesa League, and Txus Vidorreta was named the best trainer of January.
