In Monday's meeting, the regional president will put the future of renewable energy on the agenda, indicating that the reactivation of this sector would be a key factor in creating jobs, occupying the place held by the construction industry a few years ago.

For companies in the sector, this would be possible with a Law making consumption by producer feasible again. The president of the Extremadura Energy Cluster, Vicente Sánchez, comments that before 2010 more than 7 billion euros were invested in Extremadura, which he claims could generate a lot of jobs and, over the long term, wealth.

Also, the Tourism Cluster suggests that the president of Extremadura should impress upon Madrid the need to improve transport, with high-speed rail and airports, to attract visitors to Extremadura.
