Assembly approves Law of Social Emergency

With the PSOE having voted in favour and the abstention of Podemos and Ciudadanos, the Parliament of Extremadura has approved the Law of Social Emergency, a legislative norm to fight against evictions in the region. The Partido Popular voted against it, believing that its content may infringe several of the constitutional provisions.

The Assembly of Extremadura has given the green light to the approval of the Law of Social Emergency, a legislative text to help families that are in risk of being dislodged from their houses. The Partido Socialista has backed the law up and the Partido Popular has voted against it, as it may potentially infringe several articles of the Spanish Constitution.
