Two weeks more for paternity leave
Between 8 and 10 thousand workers could benefit in the Canary Islands from the increase in paternity leave which has come into effect this year.
This provision is non-transferable, works independently of maternity leave, and does not entail a wage cut.

Paternity leave is extended from two to four weeks for the birth of a child, adoption, or fostering.
The provision is non-transferable and complementary to maternity leave, allowing couples to add their leave together and enjoy 20 weeks to look after their new child.
