Green light to the construction of the ATI in Almaraz
The Official State Gazette has published the authorisation from the Ministry of Industry. Construction work will begin in January

According to the Nuclear power plant of Almaraz, building the ATI is necessary for storing waste. By 2018, the pools in the plant will be full. Ecologists believe that it will only prolong the life of Almaraz past 2020 when a decision will have to be made again.
Construction on the ATI will start in January and will cost about 24 million euros.
