400 sheep take a short urban transhumant route in Mérida

It has been almost ten years since a transhumant flock has crossed Mérida's Roman bridge, which forms part of the Santa María de Araya Royal way, and leads to Cáceres along with the Silver Route.

To the little ones, delight and pedestrians' surprise, shepherds and their dogs herded the flock to the aqueduct of miracles where they enjoyed some tasty 'shepherd's breadcrumbs'.
