On the eve of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, La Encamisá is celebrated in Torrejoncillo. More than 250 horsemen, dressed in white habits and carrying the banner of the Virgin Mary, pass through the town. It is a celebration of National Tourism Interest.

Los Escobazos is celebrated at the same time in Jarandilla de la Vera. This year is the 25th anniversary of its declaration as a festival of Regional Tourism Interest. The festival dates back to the 15th century, when the herdsmen used to travel down to the towns to be with their families and friends, carrying lit brooms with them to light the way.
