Canary Islands fail PISA
The Canary Islands are the lowest ranked region in the country in the three areas assessed in the PISA report. Ranked last in mathematics, and third last in reading comprehension and science.

The Canary Islands has once again scored very low in the PISA report, compared to the national average and the results obtained by OCDE countries. The Canary Islands along with Extremadura and Andalusia are the lowest ranked Spanish regions. Canarian pupils are among those with the poorest abilities in mathematics and are ranked third last in sciences and reading comprehension.
