Santa Cruz de Tenerife will gain more than 18 thousand square metres of pedestrian space with the new project to remodel Plaza de España. The work will follow the guidelines of architects Herzog & De Meuron. For the president of the Cabildo of Tenerife, Carlos Alonso, this project means the Tenerife capital will gain an important space "which connects with the sea, in front of its finest area, Plaza de España and the Cabildo".
