Extremaduran families will be out 400 euros on average for Christmas
The Extremaduran Consumer Union has estimated that families in the region will spend 400 euros on average for Christmas. Over half of this money will be spent on purchasing gifts, with an average of 220 euros spent overall per family.

All in all, including the additional expenses incurred by Extremadurans during the Christmas celebrations, families will be out around 400 euros. This figure is similar to that of last year for the same holiday. The Extremaduran Consumer Union has claimed that the crisis has lead families to rationalise their consumer habits.
