National Court judge José de la Mata has sent the suspected jihadi terrorist arrested in Adolfo Suárez airport to prison. The suspect is a Spanish citizen of Palestine origin, who lives in Vecindario, Gran Canaria.

The Civil Guard claims he became radicalised through repeated exposure to Daesh propaganda, and was prepared to travel to Syria to join the ranks of the terrorist group. According to the Interior, since raising the terror threat to level 4 in 2015, over 160 jihadi terrorists have been arrested in Spain.
As well as this arrest, the search also continues for the Vecindario jihadi¿s flatmate, who wanted to join Daesh to fight in Syria.
According to TVE sources, he is a Senegalese citizen who may have already left Gran Canaria.
This suspected collaborator may be able to bring substantial important information to the investigation of the man arrested in Madrid-Barajas airport.
