Reality check
Real Madrid walked all over Iberostar Tenerife. Vidorreta¿s team lost by twenty-seven points.
It is the second worst defeat since Iberostar Tenerife returned to the ACB in 2012. Vidorreta admits his team was trashed by their opponents, but stresses that they can use the opportunity to learn from their mistakes. The manager also recognises that the point difference was well-deserved, as the team underperformed and was punished for their own slip-ups. Iberostar Tenerife only competed for one and a half quarters, up to 35-30. With the amount of slip-ups, missed shots, an unmatched performance, a disadvantaged scoreboard and physical problems, the outcome of the match was no surprise. A just defeat that saw the leaders losing their place. But the team does not have time for regret, because on Wednesday they will play on the fifth day of the European competition against Oostende in Belgium.
