Halted studies
Around thirty studies in the Canary Islands are currently on hold due to the refusal of the main air companies to transport mice. They are not common rodents, rather they are genetically modified and are used in studies for finding a cure for illnesses such as Parkinson¿s or ALS.

Some thirty projects have been halted in the Canary Islands because the air companies refuse to carry the Knockout mice, necessary in the search for new therapeutic targets for the rheumatoid arthritis, for example.
