Canarian Wrestling in Korea
Canarian Wrestling is to compete once again in the the World Ssireum Championship, an event centred around traditional wrestling from South Korea.
The Gran Canarian athlete, Alvaro Déniz, who is also known as "Pollo de Moya tercero" is the current foreign champion in Korea.

The Canary Island selection, who did not take part last year in the International Korean Wrestling Championship, returns to the Asian country with the hope of once again renewing the victory achieved by Canarian athletes.
The group of Canarian wrestlers, invited by the National Ssireum Federation, will take special equipment with them to this World Ssireum Championship, and have been supported by the Directorate General for Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands.
Canarian Wrestling has been featuring in this Korean championship for several years, in collaboration with the Regional Federation.
