Cyclone in the Canary Islands
The Government of the Canary Islands has announced a weather warning due to high waves and storms affecting all of the islands. In Las Palmas, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura heavier downpours have been forecasted, which could potentially collect up to 80 litres of rain over the course of 12 hours.

The State Meteorological Agency has reverted the warning back to yellow due to the waves in the Canary Islands and has heightened the warning from yellow to orange for downpours in Tenerife and Gran Canaria, where precipitations of 80 litres/m2 are expected over the course of 12 hours.
The orange weather warning for rain applies to the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and its metropolitan area and to the entire island of Gran Canaria, except the northern area.
