Is increasing spending per patient consistent with having over 1,300 people waiting for a mammogram, around 4,800 people waiting for an endoscopy,18,700 for an ultrasound, or over 1,800 for a CAT scan? According to the latest statistics, this is exactly what happened in 2015. According to Dr. Guillermo de la Barreda this is due to the fact that the increase in spending does not go to the patient, but rather to other matters such as paying suppliers.
