Two turtles returned to the sea in Tenerife
Two loggerhead turtles (caretta caretta) have been released and returned to the ocean. They had spent months in an environmental recovery centre after arriving on the coast wounded.

Today they have returned to the ocean. They were released into the Las Furnias ponds in Punta del Hidalgo, in the northeast of Tenerife. The turtles had been in the La Tahonilla recovery centre for months -one of them having been bitten by a shark-.
