Silence in the face of cruelty. Today, the Canary Islands have taken part in the silence to condemn the attack in Nice that cost 84 people their lives. Today, the Interior Ministry has decided to maintain the security alert at Level 4 while tightening security in airports and tourist areas. Those of the Canary Islands are among the safest. This is how the Government Delegate has confirmed this fact in tribute to the victims of the attack this morning in the islands. The president of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, who met with the British ambassador in Madrid this morning, condemned this new act of terrorism that has struck Europe saying that we must all stay together to face this threat.
