Tara Pacheco and Joaquín Blanco to represent Spain in Río

The Canary Islands will initially have two sailors in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and three trainers, waiting for the claim presented by the other Canarians Onán Barreiros and Juan Curbelo to be resolved. Tara Pacheco and son Joaquín Blanco will also be joined by the trainers Jorge Martínez from the 470 male class, Jorge Angulo from the 470 female class and Oliver Bravo de Laguna from the standard laser class.

The sailor from the Suroeste Mogán Club, Tare Pacheco, will sail in Rio de Janeiro in the Nacra 17 class, together with the Galician Fernando Echavarri. Next week the olympic Canarians will complete another preparatory sailing test that will take place in Kieler, Germany.
