Driver in fatal accident arrested in Tenerife

• The man in question is a 39 year-old citizen of the municipality El Rosario
• It was a hit and run accident involving a 78 year-old female victim
• Remains of the victim's clothes were found on the vehicle and were key for the arrest

The incident occurred on 1 June. The Guardía Civil had been looking for a silver Renault Laguna since the incident occurred, corresponding with the description given by witnesses of the hit and run accident involving a 78 year-old woman.After analysing several vehicles that fitted the description, several tests gave the person under arrest away, who had tried to repair the damages. A piece found in the place of the event also matched perfectly with the vehicle. This is compounded by the fact that the judiciary police found remains of the victim's clothes underneath the car.
