It all happened last Monday. After a heated argument, the young boy killed his father, chopped him up and threw his remains in the sea inside two suitcases.
The Port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife divers, who were carrying out routine cleaning work on the Valleseco coast, found one of the suitcases containing the victim's torso. Hours later, the Guardía Civil found the second suitcase containing the head and limbs.
The testimony of a taxi driver, who took the accused to the coast, was key to his quick arrest.
The boy confessed the patricide to the police and will be brought before court today. The victim and boy under arrest, of Brazilian origin, were living in the Salamanca neighbourhood of the Tenerife capital until some months ago.
