What will be the last university entrance exam in the Canary Islands after 41 years began at half past nine. Nine thousand pupils from all the islands are sitting their exams until Friday to get a place at university.
The first test was the Castilian language and literature exam. This year, they discussed a text by Arturo Pérez Reverte on the situation of the Syrian refugees.
At twelve they sat the foreign language exam, and in the afternoon they took the philosophy exam.
There were many nervous students in the corridors but the pass rate was 90%.
The results will be up on the ULL and ULPGCwebsites on 15 June.
