The Canary Islands team was named autonomous champions by Spanish 420 this Saturday in the waters of the Club Nàutic El Balís, when they beat Catalunya 2-0 in the final.
After the crew titles were decided on Friday, Saturday was dedicated to teams and autonomies in a Team Race competition system (3 boats racing against each other) in the Round Robin event, where everyone races against each other, leading to the Final Heat for the title and third and fourth place.
The Round Robin led to the Canary Islands and Catalonia fighting for the title and the Balearic Islands and Comunitat Valenciana for third and fourth place. Germany and Galicia were eliminated after taking fifth and sixth place respectively.
