Oviedo Express

A phantasmagoric train, the Oviedo Express, arrives in town at night. In it, there travel the actors who will play the theatrical adaptation of “La Regenta”, critical and emblematic classic about life in Oviedo in 1885. But, in present days, the impact of the comedians will go beyond the stage area, disrupting the everyday routine. The Mayor’s young wife will fall into the arms of the main actor, or his character’s, and passions and delusions, more or less under cover up until that moment, will surface with all its consequences. A depressed actor, a furious actress, a conceited director, a local news woman, a cheerful mother and an angel who is wandering around the village, unleash funny and dramatic events up until the abrupt and unexpected falling of the curtain.
