TVE has once again triumphed at the World Media Festival in Hamburg, effectively bagging four important awards. The prestigious festival has recognized the work of 'En Portada' with a Silver Globe in the News Reports Category for its program entitled 'Amenaza Cyber' ('Cyber Threat')'. 'Vicente Ferrer' also received the top award in the Mini-Series Category, as did 'Un país para comérselo' in the recently created Tourism Category. 'Cuéntame cómo pasó' was awarded a Silver Globe in the Series Category. All of these awards will be handed over on May 14th.

The program, 'En Portada', has once again earned recognition at the Hamburg Festival after winning a Golden Globe last year. On this occasion, the Silver Globe in the News Reports Category went to 'Amenaza Cyber' ('Cyber Threat').  This report was directed and scripted by José Antonio Guardiola and produced by Susana Jiménez-Pons. The camera-work was contributed by Ricardo Vallespín, the sound technician was Maria Saurín and the program was edited by Javier Mula. It consisted of a global report that highlighted the numerous risks and threats that exist in cyberspace, ranging from the daily dangers that arise from the use of electronic devices to the most sophisticated threats, which are designed as veritable weapons of war. This report has already received various other awards, such as the Premio de Defensa 2013 ('Defense Award 2013').

For its part, 'Un país para comérselo' is the first program to win the Gold Medal in the Tourism Category, which was introduced at this edition of the Festival. The award recognized an episode that was devoted to the cuisine, landscapes and traditions of Minorca, broadcast during the third season of the program and featuring Ana Duato. 'Un país para comérselo', which is produced by TVE in collaboration with Grupo Ganga, has received various other awards, including the Alvaro Cunqueiro National Culinary Journalism Award, the Royal Academy of Gastronomy  Award, and the Alimentos de España Award.

'Vicente Ferrer' has received a Golden Globe as the Best Mini-Series. Produced by TVE and Grupo Ganga, featuring the participation of TV3 and Visiona tv, the program covers the last 30 years in the life of the Spanish aid worker in India and his struggle to help the underprivileged. Shown on La 1 (TVE's Channel 1) last January, the program was filmed in collaboration with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation over a period of five weeks at different locations throughout India, including Anantapur and the Ramoji Studios, the largest studios in the world.

Finally, 'Cuéntame cómo pasó' has received a Silver Globe in the Series Category. Co-produced by TVE and Ganga, the fifteenth season of this series is currently being shown on TVE's first channel, La 1. The program's considerable popularity with the public has always been complemented by a high degree of recognition both inside Spain and abroad. 'Cuéntame ...' has won more awards than any other series in the history of Spanish television, effectively flying the flag for Spanish fiction. Since 2001 it has received dozens of prizes and awards: it has been presented with two Ondas Awards; it won First Prize at the National Television Awards (2009); it has received numerous Television Academy Awards; it was a Finalist at the Emmy Awards (2003 and 2005); it has been recognized on various occasions at the Television Festivals of Monte Carlo and Seoul; and it has received a Golden Globe at the Hamburg Festival.
