After the newscast, today's broadcast continues with "Other Voices," with the focus on The Perfect American, composer Philip Glass's latest opera, which had its world première at Madrid's Teatro Real last week. This week's "Other Voices" reports on the novel the opera is based on and the figure that is central to both: Walt Disney. Then comes "The Three-Cornered Hat," in which we talk about the institution of monarchy, in Spain and elsewhere, the depletion of the world's fish stocks and scientist Dr. Daniel Pauly, who was in the southern Spanish city of Alicante to receive an honorary degree, and finally, the Blues and the bands playing in Madrid this past weekend.
