Eurovisión 2011 - 1ª Semifinal - Turquía

El grupo de rock Yüksek Sadakat, que representará a Turquía en la próxima edición del Festival de Eurovisión, ha presentado este fin de semana la canción con la que participará el próximo mes de mayo en Düsseldorf: Live It Up.

La banda, cuyo nombre significa 'alta definición', se formó en el año    1997, aunque alcanzaron la fama en su país a partir de 2005, con la    publicación de su exitoso tercer álbum. Su música se caracteriza por la  fusión de rock con elementos de la música tradicional turca.

Yüksek Sadakat está compuesto por Kenan Vural  (solista), Serkan Özgen    (guitarra), Kutlu Özmakinaci (bajista), Ugur  Onatkut (teclados) y    Alpay Salt (batería).

Tras la estela de maNga

El año pasado Turquía alcanzó la segunda posición en el Festival de Eurovisión con maNga,   una banda de rock curtida en festivales de media Europa. Una vez   demostrado que el rock también tiene cabida en Eurovisión, la televisión  pública de Turquía, la TRT, realizó un  proceso de selección interno y  anunció el pasado mes de diciembre que el grupo Yüksek Sadakat sería su representante en Eurovisión 2011.
