'Requiem' of Tomás Luis de Victoria

After returning to the airwaves at the beginning of the month with Francisco Guerrero's "Requiem," which we dedicated to the victims of the Covid-19 pandemic, in today's program we listen to another great "Requiem" by one of Spain's most important early composers--Tomás Luis de Victoria, who lived from 1548 to 1611. This time the program is dedicated to both the victims of Covid-19 and those of another pandemic, that of racial violence and discrimination.
