Panorama - Sedajazz

In today's program we focus on Sedajazz, a musicians' collective founded three decades ago in the Mediterranean city of Valencia and still going strong today. Sedajazz releases jazz albums by Spanish singers and musicians, runs a music school with some 350 students, publishes sheet music, acts as a production company for big bands and smaller ensembles, sponsors seminars on jazz, and organizes concerts, festivals, and numerous other didactic activities. In 2019 Sedajazz Records brought out some 17 albums, and to provide listeners with a taste of what's cooking musically at this collective our program features the following songs by Sedajazz performers: "Blues in Hoss' Flat" - Le Dancing Pepa Swing Band; "Love Is Here To Stay" - Kako Rubio & Lírica Big Band; "September In The Rain" - Jorge Riera Gypsy Trio; "Someone To Watch Over Me" - Sedajazz Kids Band; "Mattenstrasse" - Yuri Storione, Perico Sambeat, Stephan Kurmann & Marton Juhasz; "Tuff Bop" - Javier Tijuana; "Old School" - Chema Peñalver.
