A guitar recital by Zoran Dukic

Today's program features two works by Spanish composers performed by guitarist Zoran Dukic at a recital in Barcelona in February of 2020. We hear "Fantasía sonata," by Joan Manén (1883-1971), and "Sonata para guitarra," by Antonio José (1902-1936). Zoran Dukic was born in Zagreb in 1969 and studied guitar there and later in Germany under Hubert Käppel. Besides giving performances throughout the world Zoran Dukic, considered to be one of the most promient guitarists of his generation, teaches at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, the Cologne University of Music and Dance, and Catalonia's Higher School for Music (Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya) in Barcelona.
