Rendimos un pequeño homenaje a un histórico de la música de los años 60 recientemente fallecido. El 29 de enero nos dejó a los 77 años de edad el guitarrista Hilton Valentine, fundador de The Animals y responsable del inolvidable riff que abría el clásico "The house of the rising sun". Recordamos algunas de sus grabaciones con la legendaria banda de Newcastle, pero también su escasa trayectoria en solitario, donde destaca un olvidado álbum de 1969 de sonido folk y pop barroco, y dos trabajos de estilo skiffle plasmados en este nuevo siglo bajo el alter ego de Skiffledog.
