Bob Dylan, Linda Ronstadt, Van Morrison, Carly Simon, Rod Stewart - en entregas varias -, Dr. John o Paul McCartney tampoco pudieron resistirse a grabar el suyo con el mismo concepto de canciones "standard", del libro legado que contribuyeron a crear los grandes compositores de música y letra estadounidenses: George & Ira Gershwin, Irvin Allen, Cole Porter, Duke Ellington y Billy Strayhorn, Harold Arlen, Gus Khan y Walter Donaldson, Harold Arlen, Johnny Mercer, Henry Mancini... Además integramos a Livingston Taylor, The Innocence Mission, Elton John o los españoles Oscar Briz Quartet y Antonio Serrano. Precisamente el tema seleccionado de Sting está extraído de un álbum tributo a George Gershwin que auspició el gran productor George Martin con el armonicista Larry Adler.
