Eurovisión 2017 - Hovig representa a Chipre en con la canción "Gravity"

Chipre ha sido el país más madrugador de esta edición a la hora de seleccionar a su candidato para Eurovisión 2017. Y el elegido es Hoving, cantante de ascendencia armenia que cantará "Gravity" el próximo mes de mayo en Kiev.

Nacido en Nicosia en 1989, la primera experiencia televisiva de Hoving fue en el año 2009 cuando participó en la versión griega de X Factor, donde por cierto coincidió con la diva eurovisiva Ivi Adamou, representante de Chipre en el Festival en el año 2012.

Hoving ha intentado participar en Eurovisión en otras ocasiones. La primera fue en el año 2010 con la canción "Goodbye", y la segunda en 2015 con la canción "Stone in a river". En aquellas preselecciones no tuvo suerte, pero en 2017 ha conseguido convencer a la CyBC con "Gravity", un tema compuesto por el sueco Thomas G:son.
