Estoy vivo and Traición are the main new shows on the audiovisual market in Miami

RTVE will be attending the upcoming edition of NATPE in Miami, 16–18 January, with its two most recent hit productions: Estoy Vivo and Traición . The corporation will be in the Spanish pavilion Audiovisual from Spain , where it will also present its renewed selection of international channels for the entire family.

Estoy Vivo  is the hot new series of the season in Spain, where it has led Thursday prime time with an average audience of around 2.5 million viewers. This fictional programme starring Javier Gutiérrez, who has just won the Ondas Award for best male actor for his performance, is premised on unusual circumstances: Andrés Vargas is a police inspector who dies by mistake when pursuing a serial killer who has murdered five women. But five years later, he has the opportunity to come back to life in the body of another agent, played by Javier Gutiérrez. The series, which is filled with unexpected twists, focuses on human stories.

Traición , starring Ana Belén, presents the complicated family relationships of the owners of a law firm made up of the parents and their four children. They are very obedient children and the family gets on well … or so it appears. Trouble emerges when Don Julio, who has always run the family firm with an iron hand, brings the family together to inform them that he has a terminal illness and is close to death. The illness has caused him to reflect on his life and make a number of decisions with which the family does not agree. The news he shares at the family meeting is like a bolt from the blue for the children, who feel their world begin to crumble. The apparently perfect family starts to fall apart. The series has been very well received by Spanish audiences, with the first episodes topping 2 million viewers.

Also going to NATPE is Servir y Proteger , a daily series that depicts everyday life at a neighbourhood police station in south Madrid, with an emphasis on the more human side of the people who work in public security. The plots revolve around the protagonists, two policewomen, their colleagues and the cases they must solve. It is more than just police intrigue, the essential elements of Servir y proteger are human relations and feelings.

RTVE will also be taking some of the new fictional shows that premiered in 2017, including Reinas , El Final del Camino , iFamily and the second season of Víctor Ros , as well as other productions from its extensive catalogue of fictional programmes, mostly notably its internationally successful daily series Acacias 38 and Seis hermanas , the TV movies La Princesa Paca and 22 ángeles , and other high quality major productions such as as Isabel and Carlos Rey Emperador .
